Why want to Buy Stock Photos Online: Why not Google

seven Tomatoes

A stock photography of a Tomato it is a Royalty free Image Click Download if neaded. Photography: Babu Vasanth

This article is for the buyers who want to buy stock images in websites. I am a stock photographer and graphic designer, I want to share what is stock photography and I want to share what is the purpose of a photo. Photos are imageries that explain the content more than a page full of text article if and only if the imagery is related to the content. Photographs and imageries are one of the biggest elements of multimedia. We can use photos in printed media publishing like posters, banners, flyers, catalogs etc and we can also use it in digital media publishing like in web pages, web banners, and web posters and so on. And these and are the major purpose of photos.

Why we want to buy

Now I want to share, why we want to buy photos online when of course we have Google and other image search engines. In those days when people the didn’t have an option for internet connection, what people did was, some of the people who want to buy images they directly call photographers to shoot a particular picture related to their content. The photographer will shoot images with models or objects and give the required number of photocopies to the client. Clients use those photocopies for their advertising purpose. After they use all the photos if required, they go back to the photographer to print that photocopy again, why because the photo negative was with the photographer

And if the client wants the photo negative, the photographer will charge more for that, why because the client can make “N” number copies “N” number of time. After the discovery of computer, printer and scanner machines, one can scan the photo print and he can print it “N” number of time.  This sounds illegal for the photographer who shot that picture. To favor photographer from this issues the  law of Copyrights where introduced

Copyrights

If the photographer sees the picture that was shot by him somewhere else that he didn’t sell it to that particular person or client, according to copyrights law, He can put a case on that person for using his picture illegally without his permission. During these days the photographers, they shoot the picture with the help of negative film role cameras known as SLR cameras, they develop it and print it on paper and they scan it to convert it to digital photo, if needed they publish it in internet for their clients who need those pictures for digital purpose say for web pages. After the introduction of Digital camera photographers shot the digital picture directly from the camera and they can use it for internet based clients.

Google images

When photographer’s clients publish or use their pictures for web pages Google identifies it using the name, tags, and keywords given to the picture and it’ll list it in Google image search engine when any person types the name, tag or keyword of that particular picture Google introduced image search engine so that anyone can find any information, also with images and it doesn’t mean that those pictures are downloadable for free. It’s still it is copyrighted by the photographer who took that picture. If the photographer sees the photograph somewhere he didn’t sell it then he can send a legal notice to the person who published that content with that picture. Then what is the purpose of showing “save as image” in Google search engine? It means anyone can download it for free which Google offer that image for personal use, not for commercial or business purpose so simply we can use it in our computer and it should not be published anywhere.

Stock Photography

Even in those days organizations there helped photographers and clients by standing as an intermediate. Photographers submit images under some name, categories, and keywords with that organization; the organization will make a library and keep images in each section. This library and section is nothing but stock. Some price will be fixed for every picture depending on the demand of the picture and clients come ask for the required images with name, categories, and keywords. if both the photographers and the client’s data matches and if the client likes that picture he purchases it from the organization for that price and the organization will give some percentage to the photographer and the organization with take some commission for standing and helping as an intermediate. Even now many organizations are there in real world facing photographers and clients directly without using internet connection

But now this generation is the period for online stock photography. With the help of internet world some companies running websites and doing the same job by standing in between clients and photographers. Photographers submit images, the company checks for quality and demand they fix price value for the photo, they sell I it gets to the client. They pay for the photographer and take some commission.

Don’t download all Google images for your business purpose. Not all images are costly. Websites are there to sell images for least cost.

For example visit this stock photography website:

But the weather and these changes are enjoyable, this also results in some of my friend complaints about they got affected by the spread of viral infections. But I was not in diseases or disorders in two years.
The official language in Bangalore is Kannada. However, most people are also able to speak Tamil, Hindi or English. Other Indian languages also are spoken by the respective migrant communities.

In some condition, we should chat in the Kannada language while dealing with roadside vendors, maids. First few days I cant able to chat, discuss, to ask something or to buy something or to go somewhere, why because I know only Tamil and English to speak. But later on, I learned few Kannada words Like

  • To greet – “Namaskara”
  • How are you? “Hegidira”
  • I am fine. – “Channagidini”
  • How much? – “Eshtu”
  • Too pricey – “Tumba Jasthi”
  • To thank “Dhanyawada” better say thanks.

Pictures of Madurai thiruparankundram hill

Some more details about Thiruparankundram temple.

Tirupparankunram Murugan Temple is a Hindu temple and one of the Six Abodes of Murugan, located at Tirupparankunram. The temple is built in rock-cut architecture and believed to have been built by the Pandyas during the 6th century. According to the legend, it is where Murugan slain the demon Surapadman and married Deivayanai, the divine daughter of the king of heaven, Indra, and he is said to have worshipped Shiva here as Parangirinathar.

The temple is located 8 kilometers (5.0 mi) from Madurai in India. In the main shrine, apart from Muruga, deities of Shiva, Vishnu, Vinayaka, and Durga are housed. The temple follows the Shaivite tradition of worship. Six daily rituals and three yearly festivals are held at the temple, of which the Kantha Sashti festival during the Tamil month of Aippasi (October – November) being the most prominent. The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Legend

Thiruparamkundram finds mention in Kanda Puranam detailing the slaying of Surapadman by Muruga. As per Hindu legend, Surapadma, a demon king, once obtained boons from Shiva on account of severe penance. He started ruling the 1008 worlds on account of the power attained. He married Padumakomalai and had several sons. Viramkendiram became his capital, a city created in the seas and he started troubling the Devas. He imprisoned Indra (the king of celestial deities) and also desired his wife Indrani. Indra sought the help of Muruga. Muruga sent his messenger Viravakutevar to the demon, but he was unmoved. A severe battle was fought in Thiruparamkundram where Muruga killed all the sons of the demon except Iranian. Surapadman hid under the sea and Muruga split him into two pieces, which went on the become the divine vehicles, peacock, and the rooster. The day when Muruga slew Surapadma is celebrated as Skanda Sashti festival in all the Murugan temples.

Indra, the king of Devas was impressed and he married Deivayanai, his divine daughter to Muruga at Thiruparamkundram. Muruga is believed to have worshipped Shiva here as Parangirinathar. Kanthar Anoobothi, a treatise of the divine marriage records that Muruga asked all the divine angels and gods who attended the marriage to fly back to heaven in their own vehicles in Mano veham (speed of thought).

History

Inscriptional evidence point out that this temple, being carved out of a hill, was most probably earlier a Jain cave. There is another theory that earlier to this, the Murugan temple existed much before the 6th century and converted into Jain worship center by Jain monks under the aegis of Pandya king Koon pandiyan. The temple was later converted into a Hindu temple under the tutelage of Gajapathy, the minister of a later Pandya King, during the latter part of the 8th century. The temple has several additions during the regime of Madurai Nayaks who commissioned the pillared halls in the temple.[4] In modern times, the temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Architecture

The temple is built rock-cut architecture dating back to the Pandya period of the 6th century and the life-sized sculptures in the mandapas of the Nayaka period during the 16th century. An Aasthaana Mandapa with several artistically carved pillars leads one to the towering 150 feet (46 m) high seven-tiered rajagopuram at the entrance. The granite hill behind the temple is 1,050 ft (320 m) has a shrine of Kasi Viswanatha at the top. The image of Vinayaka in the temple in the temple is sported holding sugarcane and fruits.

The Kambathadi Mandapam, Ardha Mandapam, and Mahamandapam, the three halls leading to the sanctum, are situated at varying elevation. The main shrine is an early rock-cut temple which has cells that house the sanctums of Subramanya, Durga, Vinayakar, Shiva, and Vishnu. All the statues are carved on the wall of the Thiruparankundram rock. The presiding deity Shiva is known Parangirinathar and the female deity his consort Parvathi is known as Aavudai Nayaki. Panels depicting Shiva’s dance of bliss are seen outside the sanctum.

A notable feature of this temple is that the Shiva and Vishnu face each other in the main shrine, considered a rare thing in ancient Hindu temples. Outside the temple, there is the tank, where according to the temple tradition, the fishes are served with salt and rice flakes by the devotees. There is also a Vedic school adjacent to the banks of the temple pond. In front of the Dwajasthambam, the Flagstaff, there is a carved Nandi, Mayil (Peacock) and Mouse (the vehicle of Ganesha). There is a flight of six steps called the “Shadashara Padigal”, before Ardha Mandapam. The rock carvings of Mahisshasura Mardini, Karpaga Vinayagar, Andarabaranar, and Uggirar are seen in the hall. There are five divine water bodies, namely, Saravana Poigai, Lakshmi Theertham, Saniyasi Kinaru (well), Kasi Sunai, and Sathiya Koopam.

Photography: Over and Under exposing

To be underexposed implies that a picture contains insufficient light, so there is excessively obscurity that was recorded on the film or picture. The darker the photograph is, the more underexposed it is. Some of the time you can even underexpose a photograph deliberately to make pictures more emotional, so remember that as well – NOT ALL UNDEREXPOSED IMAGES ARE BAD.

Underexposure can happen two times all through the photography procedure: while taking the photo, and after that while creating it. Normally, on the off chance that it happens while you are taking the photo, it is around evening time and the lighting is extremely poor outside, thusly, not giving the camera enough light to catch the picture that the photographic artist needs. On the off chance that your photographs are getting underexposed while creating it, at that point, there are methods for settling that as well.

Approaches to revise underexposure:

• Add all the more light to your canvas. One of the more basic methods for doing this is in reality simply turning your blaze on, that is the thing that it is there for so utilize it. Another path is by including a reflector; this will help keep the lighting in the photograph in a way that adds more definition to the scene or picture.

• Adjusting your f/stop could possibly be the issue as well. Changing this will enable all the more light presentation to the photograph, so simply play with it until the point that you locate the correct f/stop.

• Or change your shade speed while keeping the f/stop the same. I just prescribe doing this on the off chance that you have a model that isn’t moving and you are utilizing an excursion case. Exchanging your shade speed from 1/60 of a moment to 1/30 can truly have a recognizable effect; it may feel like it’s just changing a millisecond however that timeframe can have a significant effect!

Overexposure is precisely the inverse of underexposure,

you are letting excessively light being recorded by the camera and that is making the photograph be ‘smothered’ or ‘whitewashed’. At the point when this happens, you lose a great deal of the shading in the photograph and it can be excessively diverting, making it impossible to perceive what the picture taker was endeavoring to make. A few people overexpose intentionally to enable more subtle elements to rise on a dull question and setting, however normally overexposing isn’t something to be thankful for. Much the same as the meaning of overexposing is the inverse of underexposing, the approaches to revise overexposing are additionally the inverse.

• Take away light by moving to the shade or utilizing a darker reflector. A darker reflector will ingest a portion of the entrance light, in this manner, helping your photograph from getting blah-looking. In the event that you can’t discover shade at that point discover a material or a remark coordinate daylight.

• Try changing your f/stop. Play around with it and get nearer to f/11, see what works for the shot and utilize it.

• Shutter speed is another choice. Move it up this time, go to 1/125 to give less light access to your sensor or film plane.

A Photographer’s Dream And A Photograph’s Makeover

The many exciting features of Photoshop range from retouching photos all the way to graphic design. Simply retouching a photo to enhance the light or subject through changing the brightness levels and correcting little ‘imperfections’ in skin or clothes may make the photo more pleasing to the artist or audience. From enhancing the dimensions and depth to configuring a graphic design based from multiple images strategically placed to advertise a company to doodling with the ‘pen’ there are quite a few interesting ways to edit or construct an image.

There are over a dozen tools to use on an image that include: the lasso tool, quick selection tool, crop tool, eyedropper tool, spot healing brush tool, brush tool, clone stamp tool, history brush tool, eraser tool, gradient tool, blur tool, dodge tool, pen tool, type tool, path selection tool, rectangle tool, hand tool, and zoom tool. These tools are located on the left hand side. The toolbar on the top of the screen is composed of sizing brushes or erasers, what mode the artist is detailing with, the opacity, the flow, and the search bar. Another great thing that Photoshop has is the ability to have multiple projects open, just on different windows. With this great power, comes great responsibility…

Once you start using Photoshop and realize all the editing that can be done a few clicks of a button, you need to remember that there is such a thing as too much editing. A little bit goes a long way, not just when using butter on your toast, but when blurring itty bitty sections of your photo to draw attention to your subject. There is a certain amount of editing that can be done to an image that doesn’t distort the subject and you won’t realize you are possibly ruining the image until you take a step back and look at the edited version with a fresh mind. DON’T PANIC! You can go use the ‘undo’ button to remove changes that you have made to less the impact of some excessive editing.

However, you might not want to click undo a billion and three times, so maybe starting from scratch will work best especially now that you know what doesn’t look good on that image. While there is such thing as too much editing, be aware that there are some projects where it is okay to pile on the details or pile on a lot of images onto one background. Personally, my taste in photography is the natural, scenic site where a bit of enhancing is needed but not too much after that. Of course, everyone has their own style so explore Photoshop and your skills to determine what kind (and how much) editing your style warrants.

Me and Multimedia

As I wrote in the last article about that I will write about Multimedia in the future article. This is that article about Multimedia that I want to share what I know about and want to explore more about it.

My childhood

Before that, I want to share some experience how I got to know about this field. This is about my childhood; I am in Madurai, India. The family and friends network and the environment I belong is a kind of people who are all well educated, well settled Mostly in Information technologies (IT) and software related field. I grew up with them as a poor kid who lacks a lot in education. I am not good in studies, schooling, and college.

The reason behind that was I am interested in somewhere else other than normal people do like mathematics, science and social science etc. My mind wants to explore more about something else as I believe in a philosophy that every kid has his/her own specialty by birth. At least the kid should know what is his specialty is. Where he is interested in and to explore about.

Specialty and Interest

I am that kind of kid who was lacking in finding what his own specialty and interest is. And my family, friends, environment I belong dint let me find it. There the only intention is I want to become just like them. A well educated IT employee. What I can do if I am not interested in something that I don’t want to do. It’s a complicated situation for every kid like me. I don’t know the pathway I want to run out from them. I was alone, isolated and provoked. Struggling to accept I am one of them but cant able to become. I gave up on finding my specialty and interest because of them and tried to do something that they do.

Without interest I did my schooling, as a below average student I got a total mark, with that I can reach an Arts and science College not even a good college with the marks I got but I have to do college as per the rule. I did Bachelor of Science in Computer science. I ended up with average marks again but with my age and education, I got matured a little bit. Maturity is the only thing what I gain from my higher education. And this is what people have to gain other than Marks, grades, and jobs.

Thanks to my College

That time One of my close friends, “Amarnath Gandhi” He found I am good at doing artworks and he told me I am special in doing artworks and designs. He told me about the opportunity for the people who are capable of doing artworks and designs like sketching, drawing and bit more things. His intention is to find that opportunity and he wants my company to find that opportunity. He induced to go with him where it is the place which is out of the station. My place is Madurai and that place is Chennai. Around 450 Km away from my hometown.

I bet he is the responsible person to find my inner specialty and interest. At least this college gave me this guy to find who I am, what I am. He told me who I am He told me what I am. He showed me my pathway to run out. I should thank the god or nature to make me meet him in my life. It happened because of this college or education and I want to thank this college. This is the starting point of my own life.

Certified special course

But before that, we have to do a special certified course. Then only we can find a job related to that why because my B.Sc degree was not related to the field where I am going to work for. I still remember I was around the age 19 or 20 I even don’t know what special course is that I am going to do the only thing I know was the course is related to me and my specialty and my interest what I gave up in my childhood

Here comes the issue

I fought with my mom for doing this course cost around 50 thousand rupees in “Arena Multimedia“. Money is not an issue but the problem is she doesn’t want me to go out leaving her alone. but after I pleased she let me go and study that course I went I asked about the course even that time I don’t know what I am going to study anyway I started paid advance payment I came back to my living mansion. That day evening my brother called me. He is the first authorizing before my mom because he is well settled he has good job money and everything. And if I am going to do this course he is going to pay for it around 50 thousand rupees but money is not the problem for him too. The problem is this field is not a good field in his point of view

He called me

He asked: who gave you permission to do this,

I said: mom

He said: Mom doesn’t know about this course only I know.

And he said: This field is not a good field it doesn’t any scope

I don’t know how to reply. Anyhow I want to do this course I fought for doing this course and I tried a lot, finally, he said if I am going to do this course he is going to pay for it. and he asked what if he is not going to pay. I don’t have an answer for this. I don’t have money to pay. my mom, she can’t able to pay. I don’t think like I can pay by doing part-time jobs or something

I again gave up for the second time and asked him what I want to do now. he said to come back to your hometown and do master of computer applications PG MCA and he is ready to pay me now around one and a half lacks. I told him I don’t have the interest to do this its waste of money and time and I said I can’t get job or opportunity in this IT field. He gave me job assurance that I will get a good job and he will arrange it. Again without my interest, I did MCA but still, now this time I know who I am. What is my specialty? I ended up again with MCA degree without any of its knowledge no job opportunities I got as per my brother’s assurance. Wasted three years of time I got more mature.

This time they let me go out for finding a job in Chennai. In their point of view, I am coming to Chennai to find IT job and I also tried IT job for some time but still lack of interest. I work in a small IT company Where I did my final year project while I did MCA in the third year I worked for 6 months I quit my IT job I came back to my hometown for a month and returned to Chennai again.

The Art School.

After a little struggle, I got my first job in my own field, art field in Chennai.  I thank god, I got my master who gave me this job I thank one more friend “Gnanesh” his name he gave me the reference to this master. In this job, I am an art master I teach drawing and coloring for kids, school going children. In the morning I learn from my master, about arts and in the evening I teach arts to my students. The institution name is “Sri Dharshini Kalai Koodam“.

Meanwhile in afternoon after 2 pm I did a course related to the Digital design field in “framebox animation” something related to visual effects. But I dint got basics and fundamentals in this field that is the backdrop straight away they started teaching Adobe Photoshop after effects. it became confusing kind of overload. I stopped till Photoshop and half-finished after effects till I stopped this course morning I learned arts afternoon after effect evening 4 to 8 teaching art. for that my master gave me enough money to survive after stopping after effects course I started full-time art job, learning, and teaching. I got a good experience as an artist, art master, and art teacher. My master gave me my own institute under his control. I got enough money to survive. I should thank my Master Artist “Vaghai Dharmalingam” for providing me the first opportunity; It is my dream, passion. no other job satisfied me like this but life is a race we have to run. life is a river the water has to run if it stays in a stable position for some time it may get polluted. 2 years went by I thought to go to next level, next stage.

I want to do one more try hoping for the best in the design field. I chose one design institute “Image Creative Educations” in Chennai they ask me to start from the basics. This is what actually I want. I asked for web design but they suggested graphic design because graphic design is basic to learn first if I am good in graphic design I can do well if I go to web design.

I got a good start in graphic design. I started with basic design theory and the photography, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. In design theory, I learned few things about fundamental design ideas and more than that I got to know what is meat my Multimedia. This one single word the key to my dream this is what I searched for almost my entire life so far.

Any person who has interest in design field first want to know what is multimedia and explore more about multimedia if possible they can do a degree course after finishing their schooling if their parent allows them to do. My parents dint allowed they don’t even know there something that. Even I don’t know I have a course in BSc Multimedia I even didn’t find what I want to do when I am in that age as I told before Please find your interest and go as per your interest it’ll drive you where you want to go

As I am not a graduate in Multimedia, I have to accept I know only a little about it. I made a mistake in the time when I choose my bachelor’s degree. I chose Bachelor of Science in Computer science rather than choosing B.Sc in Multimedia. I got to know only after that I am interested in Multimedia related studies. But time factor, age, and other things stopped me to do my multimedia studies. So what I explored about multimedia I want to share those by writing it. Few things I learned from Graphic design institute and other things are my exploration

I have to start splitting the word Multimedia Multi + media.

Multi means multiple or many

Media means medium

What is media or medium?

The word medium I have heard in Indian schools that people have options to study the subject with their own preferred languages like Tamil, Hindi or Telugu. which means Medium is a way of communication. Media is the way of communication. people can share information or people can get to know about some information with their own preferred medium or media.

Different types of media

Human basically communicate using 5 basic medium those are

Text

Audio

Video

Photography

And Graphical designs

They sometimes mix up these elements to make some other things like Languages see how it comes both the combination of text and audio with inner meaning. So when we mix these simple basic mediums what we get is Multimedia. The mixture of one or more media is known as multimedia

Moreover in those days people use only one media to communicate some information, for example, the use text to write letters and they mail to someone or they publish it to a group of people

Audio

They use their own voice to speak for transferring information which is nothing but a audio. They use Radios to publish that audio. So whatever the media people use in the backend there should be information sharing information in a possible manner

Video

SAMSUNG CSC

In those days people use to share information using stage drama. Later on, with the help of film rolls, they started capturing it as a video clip and share a movie. Video is nothing but frames of pictures arranged in a sequence and when they run it looks real and it gets life

Photography

Photography is a powerful media with the help of one photographic picture the entire explanation of a particular situation can be explained. In those days before the discovery of camera talented artist people use to draw it manually and it took more than a month to show the white and black effect that what we are taking in fractions of seconds using our normal mobile phone when people.

Graphical Designs

The collection of shapes, forms, and lines. Shapes can be definite or indefinite definite shapes are box rectangle triangle hexagon and more which has a name indefinite shapes are organic shapes like pease od stone or cloud a tree etc. forms are 3D objects which are nothing but the illusions they look real because of depth using shades and shadows. Lines are the interconnection of multiple points lines may have with thick, thin, broken, dashed, dotted zigzag and so on strokes. so using graphical designs what we can achieve is decorations in an infographic content we can make cartoon images, 3d images and so on.

So when we are using one or more media it becomes Multimedia for example newspaper publishing is a powerful method to share information in newspapers we can so multiple media like text, photographic pictures, cartoon imagery lines shapes and so on which they add three medias such as text photography and graphical design.

we can compare which is more interesting and easy to communicate or communicated, either the content which has only one media like text alone or the content which has multiple media like text images and graphic designs. Of course, multimedia is better than single media. it is easy, effective and interesting

we can publish information using two methods such as print media publishing and digital media publishing.

Print media

The hard copy of information such as newspapers, magazine, pamphlet, flyers, Bussiness cards, letterheads. Print media is the combination of text images and graphic designs

Digital media

soft copy of the digital information we see in web pages, web applications, smartphone applications, like Facebook WhatsApp, twitter skype and so on this is our present and future generation technology. Digital media is the combination of all the elements such as text, audio, video photography and graphic design. so it is more effective easy interesting, entertaining and so on.
